Abstract

Qandeel Khayal" which was published from Loralai district has played an important role in the development and promotion of Urdu literature in Balochistan. The editor of his literary magazine was Mohammad Yusuf Popalzi and the assistant editor was Lala Fateh Chand Naseem. These two great writters together lit the candle of "Qandeel Khayal". And it was the first literary magazine of Balochistan to be published from Loralai. This literary journal has not only created great poets in this province (Baluchistan) but also encouraged such poets. Who has been the artistic and intellectual parentage of Urdu literature for decades. In this journal, not only Urdu poems and prose genres were published, but poems and prose articles of Pashto, Balochi, Brahui, Saraiki, Punjabi and other languages were also published. Qandeel Khayal is the only Urdu journal of this province which has played a significant role in the development of culture along with literature. In this article, all the information about this literary journal "Qandeel Khayal" has been collected and also shed light on its historical role.
