Employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the study includes field surveys and interviews with teachers, students, parents, and education officials. Findings indicate that lack of infrastructure, ineffective educational policies, teacher absenteeism, and sociocultural barriers—particularly concerning girls' education—are key contributing factors. Despite these challenges, there is a growing public inclination towards education, especially among youth and community leaders. The study concludes with actionable recommendations including the recruitment of local teachers, the promotion of female education, and the establishment of transparent oversight mechanisms to ensure sustainable progress in the region.
2025-10-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 ARACHOSIAhttps://arachozia.com/index.php/brja/article/view/67PASHTO: د عبدالباري اسير اصلاحي شاعري ته يوه لنډه کتنه2026-03-03T21:23:45+00:00Nasiba bibibashirahmed98@gmail.comDr. Nasibullah Semabbashirahmed98@gmail.com
This study reports a laconic review of the poetic works of Abdul Bari Aseer, an eminent figure among poets of south Pashtunkhwa. Data reveals that a note of social responsibility, self-conscious, runs through Aseer’s poetic art dealing with different social issue as such; corruption, bribery, dowry, moral decline, drug addiction, ignorance, injustice, and the erosion of cultural and ethical values. Aseer satirizes social evils using symbolic elements for ethical reformation and social awareness. His poetic works focuse on social justice, honesty, the need for learning, respect for women, self-responsibility and divine values. Aseer is not only a critic but he is also a preacher of practical life, moral values, and human empathy. Hence, findings reveal that Aseer’s poetry is of reformative nature that teaches ethical principles in a pretty literary frame. His poetic works may have significance position in Pashto literature.
2026-03-15T21:23:42+00:00Khushnumabashirahmed98@gmail.comDr. Syed Zafar Ullah Bakhshalibashirahmed98@gmail.com
This research artical presents a critical analysis of the Pashto ghazals of Ulfat Begum Dard with specific reference to Ilm-ul-Bayan (figurative rhetoric). Rooted in the rich tradition of Pashto ghazal , her poetry artistically expresses emotions such as love, sorrow, and feminine melancholy through figurative devices including metaphor, simile, allusion, and personification. The study briefly situates Begum Dard within Pashto literary history, highlighting her distinctive voice as a female poet in a predominantly patriarchal context. Using a qualitative analytical approach, the paper examines how these rhetorical devices enhance semantic richness and emotional intensity in her selected ghazals. The analysis demonstrates that the effective use of Ilm-ul-Bayan not only reinforces traditional ghazal aesthetics but also deepens thematic expression, thereby affirming Ulfat Begum Dard’s significance in Pashto poetic discourse.
2026-03-15T21:33:35+00:00Dr. Javed Iqbalbashirahmed98@gmail.com
This research article presents a critical analysis of the resistance poetry of distinguished Pashto poet, short story writer, researcher, critic, and translator, Qalandar Momand with a specific focus on his poetic collection Sabawoon. The study first explores the conceptual framework and historical evolution of the term “Resistance” in literature tracing its formal development particularly through Palestinian literary movements while emphasizing that the spirit of resistance predates the terminology itself, as literature has always been a voice against oppression.

Qalandar Momand stands among the prominent resistance poets of the 20th century , utilizing poetry as a platform to oppose oppression, coercion, injustice, and dictatorship. His work not only advocates the oppressed class and marginalized groups of his homeland, but also expresses solidarity with oppressed nations across the world. Through detailed textual analysis, the article examines selected ghazals and poems from Sabawoon, highlighting Momand’s consistent use of symbolism, metaphor, imagery, and coded expression as effective literary devices to challenge political forces and assert intellectual freedom.

The findings reveal that Qalandar Momand’s resistance poetry significantly enriches modern Pashto literary discourse and aligns with global traditions of resistance literature. His poetic vision situates Sabawoon as an influential and meaningful contribution to both Pashto literature and the broader study of world literary resistance movements.
2025-11-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 ARACHOSIA
