A research review of the work done on the vocabulary of the Bannu regional Karlani dialect

Abstract

Language is a social،Acquisitive and Cultural phenomenon, which is why it undergoes various changes over time. Along with other grammatical changes, these changes also occur in the vocabulary. Because with the passage of time, some old words become obsolete and some new words appear. The only way to save obsolete words is a dictionary. Banu, which is the ancient homeland of various Pashton Karlani tribes, has many special words that have not yet been properly preserved, especially in the pattern of professional dictionaries and Encyclopedias like Britannica, Oxford Dictionary, Ferozulghat, Daryaab and others. On the other hand, in linguistics protecting the vocabulary of regional dialects is a useful practice. In this research paper, a research review has been taken of those dictionaries/ Literary material that have the vocabulary of the Banuu regional Karlani dialect.
