Pashto modern ghazal and Critical review of its significant progress

Abstract

Ghazal is one of the most popular genres of Pashto poetry. Many poets to express romantic feelings have used Ghazal. Pashto Ghazals are written more than any other poetry in modern period. In the last two decades, Pashto ghazal has made significant progress both technically and thematically. What are the technical and thematic changes in Pashto ghazals?  How has Pashto poetry progressed technically and thematically? In this regard, the evolution of Pashto ghazal has been reviewed. The main purpose of this article is to reflect the changing nature of modern ghazals. This research article critically examines the important changes that have taken place in modern Pashto Ghazal.
