The Historical Analysis of the Afghan women’s Ghazi Aday, Zuhra and Malali Mewandi Characters in the Second Anglo-Afghan War (In the light of “ Da Asia pa Zra ke Tofan” Historical Novel)

Abstract

In the late Nineteen and early twentieth century, different wars have been fought between Afghans and Britain. In these wars, the wars of 1878-1880 is known as Second Anglo-Afghan War. This war was launched as a three –sided attack at Koram, Bolan and Khyber on Afghanistan. Along with Afghan men, this war was joined by Afghan women as well. These women rendered remarkable sacrifices against the British Forces in this war. “Da Asia Pa Zra ke Tofan “is that historical novel that depicts the story of second Anglo-Afghan War. This research paper disclosed the noticeable and matchless characters of these Afghan women and analyzes through historical perspectives that if these women really joined these battles. Also the related exciting and pathetic incidents with these women will be revealed in this paper.
