Thematic modernism in the Pashto poem of southern Pashtoonkhwa

Modernism in literature or modernist literature, originated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and is characterized by a self-conscious break with traditional ways of writing in both poetry and prose fiction writing. The genre that has got the most fame after the Pashto Ghazal in the poetry of Pashto is the Pashto poem. In the seventh and eighth decade of the 20th century, the thought of modernity influenced Pashto Poems in Southern Pashtoonkwa (Balochistan) as well, symbolic and abstract poems were created. The characteristics of modern poems have been determined in the light of the trends, literary movements and styles of expression that modern poems has taken from the beginning of its existence till today. In this research article, South Pashthern Khwa (Balochistan) poetry has been critically evaluated in the light of modern trends. And the trends that are considered trendy are highlighted in detail.
