Fazli Rahim Saqi (1904-1994) was a literary persona of patriotism, freedom fighter, resistance icon, and revolutionary activist.  He produced awakening prose and poetry against the colonial Raj in the early decades of the 20th century in the Indian British North West Frontier Province.  He had command over the sentiment-provoking process for the freedom movement through his literate contributions.  He used the platform of the Khudai Khidmatgar movement and delivered his poems in the processions conducted by them.  No doubt he will remain part and parcel of the resistance, freedom movement, and history of Pakhtunkhwa.
